CLP labelling, safety data sheets and barcodes

What we handle for compliance, and what you need to provide.

Step 3 of 3 · Labels and artwork

CLP labelling: hazard information, your supplier details, safety data sheets and your own GS1 UK barcodes. Read next: How to place a production order request.

CLP hazard labelling

Chemical products sold in Great Britain must be labelled under the GB CLP Regulation. We classify each product we make and provide the hazard pictograms, signal word and hazard and precautionary statements for your label.

Your supplier details

The label must show the name, address and telephone number of the business placing the product on the market. That is usually your business, as the brand owner, so please give us your business address and phone number.

Safety data sheets

Every product has its own safety data sheet. These are provided for the products you order, and retailers or marketplaces may ask you for them.

Barcodes

Barcodes are your own. Register with GS1 UK, then send us your barcode numbers with your order and we add them to your labels.

Selling outside Great Britain

If you plan to sell in Northern Ireland or the EU, tell us before you order. Different rules apply, such as poison centre notification and a UFI code on the label for hazardous products.

Your next step: Include your supplier details and any barcodes with your production order request.
