Shelf life, storage and batch traceability

How long products keep, how to store them and how batches are tracked.

Written by Nick Lewis
Shelf life is on each technical data sheet. Store products closed, out of direct sunlight and frost-free. Each batch has its own production record. Read next: Delivery of production orders.
  • Shelf life. Shelf life varies by product and is shown on its technical data sheet, for unopened product stored as directed.

  • Storage. Follow the storage guidance on the technical data sheet. As a rule, keep products in the closed original container, out of direct sunlight and protected from frost.

  • Cold weather. Frost can affect some products. For example, some emulsions separate if they freeze, so store them frost-free and shake before use where the data sheet says so.

  • Batch traceability. Our products are made in batches, and each batch has its own production record.

  • Something not right? If a product looks or smells wrong, send us your order number, the batch number if shown, and a photo, and we will look into it.

Your next step: Check the technical data sheet for the shelf life and storage guidance of each product before you plan your stock.
